Tax changes
April 2011
- Main rate of Corporation Tax reduces by 2% and the small companies’ rate reduces by 1%
- Employee, employer and self-
employed rates of National Insurance all increase by 1% - Personal allowances increase by £1,000 but the higher rate starting point reduces to mitigate the benefit for higher rate taxpayers
- Approved mileage rate increases to 45p for use of own car
